I have to say that I’m not shocked that Japanese people are favorites among hotel staffers. They’re just so much more polite on average, though one has to wonder about the culture’s no tip policy!

Has anyone heard of the $100 in the hotel bible thing? That was a surprise to me.

Same with the airplane toilet thing — hunh?
