What’s it Gonna Cost You? National and International Taxi Prices by Country
Looks like that when it comes to travel hotspots, North America actually has some of the more desirable rates around. Obviously jumping on the Eurail, JR, or HSR in Europe, Japan or China can help ease the burden on your bank account while traveling in those countries. However, short trips in those countries will really add up.
While the cheaper fares in certain parts of South America were no surprise, I was a little shocked to see the average per kilometer cost in Sydney, Australia was one par with North American fares! Being that it’s one of the most expensive cities to travel in on the planet, and Australia one of the most expensive continents as a whole, it’s nice to know that you’re not going to get killed on the taxi fares. I’m interested in heading back there soon — can anyone tell me what the going rate for a bus from Sydney to Queensland is going for?
